discussion title:
How sincere are their apologies?
It seems this month has been fraught with celebrity faux pas, from Serena Williams to Rep. Joe Wilson and, probably the most talked about episode of Kanye West lashing out at Taylor Swift.
Most spotlight "foot in the mouth" acts are followed by a sometimes not very swift public apology. Often, the individuals' PR people release a statement first and the actual apology seems to come in stages. Just curious -- Do you think this takes away from the sincerity of their apology? Or could some of the fault lie in the fact that the world has such instantaneous news coverage?
