• What a relief that the press is sharing with parents the fact that children need to be taught how to save their own lives in the event of a water accident! Too many children drown in this country because there is not proper awareness of training methods that equip children with survival tools. It is important though to review a program's safety record, methodology and emphasis before signing up for classes. We trained our kids with Infant Swimming Resource because of its proprietary and proven method that has led to more than 150,000 children being trained over the last 40 years, and with a perfect safety record.

I can not say enough good words about how happy my wife and I about putting our two little girls (now 5 and 3) through the survival swim program put on by Deb Daniels the Infant Swim Instructor in our area (http://www.isrinstructors.com/home/index.php?id=debdaniels). Both girls were swimming unaided by the time they were 1 and are now confident swimmers. On a recent trip to Australia how exciting was it to see them swimming and thoroughly enjoying the underwater life on the Great Barrier Reef - the life guards on the boat 40 miles off the coast of Australia were amazed at how good the kids were in the water. We have many friends who have put little kids through the program and ALL are so happy with the results. It is by far the best thing we have done for our daughters and their swimming abilties are a testament to this.

I have put a video clip of one of my girls on line - the proof of the pudding is in the eating as they say!: http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=243023126537545548

I am so happy that more attention is being brought to this HUGE problem. I am a huge believer in the Infant Swimming Resource. I enrolled our son when he was almost 1 to learn how to save himself in case it should ever arise. We live here in South Florida where water is everywhere. Just the other day here in Palm Beach County another 1 1/2 year old was found in his family pool. I couldn't live with myself if our son couldn't help save himself. Our instructor, Sharon Powers is just amazing. We go back periodically to refresh him of his skills. I am pregnant with our second child and when he/she turns 6 months old, we will be enrolling him/her also. Please bring much needed awareness to this problem and to the Infant Swimming Resource as it's the best out there.

Thank you!!

When we moved to San Diego, we started our daughter with Infant Swim Resource on our second day. It's hard watching your 15-month old work so hard to learn to swim, but oh my is it worth it.

She now loves to swim, and is confident in the water. She has never used a swim floaty and never will, and I feel much better having her visit her grandparents with their in-ground pool.

ISR is, hands down, the best child-safety related money we have ever spent. Once our next child is old enough, we'll be back with our wonderful instructor to start the process again.

I agree that ISR is the best way to protect your baby from drowning! Our older daughter was enrollod when she was 14 months old. She developed the caution she needed to survive in Florida! There is water everywhere! She is now 6 years old and a mermaid. We started our younger daughter this year with a wonderful ISR instructor named Tracy Garlanger. Despite a diagnosis of cerebral palsy, our baby can float/swim/float to safety! It has not taken away any of the joy of playing in water, only given her the skills to survive shuld she ever fall in and we were unaware!
