I'm baaaack! Yup been away for awhile... Dh's surgery threw me for a loop, then just as he started back to work, he got a new condition called fibromyalgia. This diagnosis sent him into a depression where he actually said twice, "If I have to live in this much pain every day for the rest of my life, then I don't want it." So, of course, this gave me a lot of stress and I worked my butt off trying to keep everything neat and tidy and the kids quiet, because everything and anything set him off. I turned to food, because I just couldn't cope without it. I just don't know how yet. But! The meds the doc prescribed are working really quite well. He has no side effects, and he says the pain is at a manageable level. So, my life is returning to normal. I've been journaling my food again since Sunday. So far, I've been doing well! Good for me! Good for me for getting back on track. Yes, a few lbs up (214.4) but, better that then 220+

Wow.  Yes, fibromyalgia is no joke.  I'm glad his meds are helping to keep the pain at bay.

I'm glad you're getting back on track and that your temporary absence didn't wreek too much havoc with your weight!  We all get side-tracked once in a while.  The best thing we can do is to get right back to where we need to be.

I'm doing a bit of that myself lately!

Liz

After writing down every single thing I ate last week, I am proud to say it paid off. I am down almost 2 lbs. From 214.4 - 212.6 lbs. I am pleased.

Now, things weren't perfect. Went to McDo yesterday for supper. Caved in to the convenience and wish for a few minutes of peace while the kids played in the play room. Didn't get my minutes of peace, but it was convenient. Ate the Quarter Pounder Trio, same as I would do if I wasn't "watching". But I didn't have the apple pie or muffin after. Didn't go home and snack. So I guess I can be pleased with that. I'm choosing to see the glass as half-full rather than half-empty :-)

We all cave once in a while.  No worse than the chicken strips and Jojo fries I had from the deli on Saturday!  I assume that the "trio" included fries and a DIET soda???

 ;o)
