It can be very hard to stay motivated when your circumstances are not right. I own a treadmill because I know it would be very difficult to get to the gym with two small children. My "gym" is my living room. If you're going to buy a treadmill, I HIGHLY suggest getting one the day after Thanksgiving. I got my $2,600 treadmill for HALF OFF the day after Thanksgiving!!! Yes....a Reebok treadmill, very durable, for only $1,300.
Getting past the first couple of days is THE HARDEST!!!! I believe that this journey requires a certain frame of mind. We have to accept that undesirable circumstances will come our way, but we dont' have to accept giving in to them. I'm learning that this journey has to be about more than just losing weight. It's a learning process all around. About who you are, your relationship with food, how you accept your circumstances and how you persevere through hard times. We are not perfect through this journey, but we do not give up! Create your plan for success. Really. Write it down. Make it reasonable. Then decide how bad you want it. If you want it bad enough, follow through. Execute it. Believe that you can do it. And you will. :o)
