Hi Kira! It’s so nice to see you. I have been wondering how you’re doing and hoping that things are going better for you. Sounds like you’re enjoying life these days, which is great to hear.
We’ve only had one day of really “beautiful” weather – yesterday it was 70 degrees here in southwest lower Michigan. That’s the warmest it’s been since last October! In fact, it hasn’t even been above 55 all year here. But we have had some days in the mid-40’s, and even that feels nice. At least most of our snow has melted. Just last week everything was covered in thick blankets of white stuff, but now it’s almost all gone. More winter – and a little snow – is on the way for later this week, but they’re saying that spring might return later next week. Anyway, I definitely feel better about the weather, knowing that the worst is behind us (it’s been a very long winter).
Fitness-wise, I’ve been pretty successful with exercise the past several months. Last December I decided to try to just do exercise, and not both food and exercise like I had tried – unsuccessfully – so many times in the past. I’m still not completely consistent with exercise, but I do manage to do some most of the time. The idea was that after exercise had become a habit, I would add healthy eating later. But I’m still struggling with that. I do okay for a while, but then relapse into unhealthy foods. I’m hoping that now that spring has finally (almost) sprung, that I’ll do better with eating more healthily too, as well as continue with exercise.
I’d love to hear from some more folks here, and hope a few people will check in too.
