Here's my situation:
1. 100 pounds overweight
2. Very limited income
3. Seldom have regular meals
4. A DH who eats very little fruit or veggies
5. DH gets most of his calories from alcohol and coffee with canned milk
6. DH prefers wheat...biscuits, pancakes, etc.
7. I've become a binge/emotional eater, but only at home. I eat well when I'm traveling.

So, how do I lose? I'd be happy if I could get below 200, so 50 pounds. How do I do it on a very limited income when I can't afford to buy separate foods?

Susanne

I would suggest starting a food journal and keep it going for a couple weeks and find out how many calories you eat a day and were the calories are coming from. A good place to go is fitday.com, it's free and then you don't have to look all the info up yourself and it will keep track of it and you can do reports and such.

Then after you find that out, you should try and make healtier eating choices and cut the calories so you will lose weight. There are alot of calculators to help you find this out. The only one I can think of at the moment is at slimfast.com

Make small steps and try and find foods that you and dh like. Make sure you watch your portion size.

If you need more support you can go to the 100 pounds or more to go board or the ask the healthy eating expert board, they both have great info. on dieting.

Hope this helps.
