Hi friends,

I haven't posted here in a very long time but I would like to try to be consistent again even it's mostly posting my menus/exercise. I am busier than ever but at the same time my youngest is in preschool now and I have little snippets of time that I so desperately want to use wisely.

My weight has actually mostly stabilized in the past couple years, which is amazing to me. I think I have internalized a lot of the keys to the point where I know when I am eating mindlessly -- like I'm choosing to do it anyway. I walk a lot because of where we live and I love that, but I want to be more intentional about IE.

In the past week I've upped my fruits/veggies again like I used to do, got back to drinking plain old water, switched my coffee creamer and switched one of my daily eggs to Egg Beaters egg whites. I'm trying to make little changes that I can maintain and will add up.

Stephanie, was your screenname springforward? Either way I'm sorry you've had such a difficult few years. Congrats on getting back on track and being the CL here (thank you!) -- like you said, I'd HATE to see this board disappear. It's been an amazing resource and source of encouragement for me. I hope I can be consistent here again.

(I have no idea what my ticker is going to say down there. I'm at 161 lbs. right now with a goal of 149.)

Hey Ingrid. Welcome back. It is great to hear that your weight has stabilized. It is nice to know that you will be posting here again. I haven't posted in a couple of weeks because of mid term exams lol but I hope to post regularly now.

Thanks for inviting me back Ingrid! I'm thinking this might be just what I need to have a little accountability in my life.

My eating has been pretty out of control lately. Since I've been in training and running longer distances, I like to tell myself things like, "I just have to eat more since I'm running more." and "I just ran 12 miles. I deserve to eat whatever I want!" As you can see, that can get real destructive real quick. I started training at the end of July and have gained about 6 lbs since then. Before that I went on a month long vacation and had gained 3 lbs, so I'm sitting here 9 lbs heavier than I was just 4.5 short months ago.

I'm hoping that coming back to the board and finding my footing again will help me to get back to my pre-vacation weight, which was 127. So, glad to be back and I'll start posting food and IE here as often as I can.

Glad to see some familiar faces!

I've been having a rough couple of weeks. Had to cancel Thanksgiving, due to a viral infection that the kids brought home from school. Then the kitchen renovations. Just when life started to settle down we all got his with this flu. Seems that it sticks with people for 5-7 days. I'm hoping that is the case, because I am really tired of being glued to the couch, and am actually missing excercise, due to the extreme boredom! lol Menu is all over the place, as you could imagine.

Looking forward to being back at it, full time, soon!

Stephanie.

Oh, and to answer your question, Ingrid, yes my screenname used to be Springforward (:
