Hi All, I am trying to lose 5 pounds. I am very fit, work out three days a week on the elliptical machine for 60 minutes. Lift light arm wieghts during my elliptical workout (this is new, I have a bad back). My back is not seriously injured, it just crimps occassionally so I keep upper body workout simple. My problem is that my ideal weight is 121 - and I am five pounds over it. I write down everything I eat here is a basic day: 1/2 cup oatmeal with skim milk for breakfast vegetable soup with small crust of bread for lunch hummus for dinner (or salad). sometimes a small slice of lean chicken. no snaks, just ice tea, water or diet coke for beverages. WHAT MORE CAN I DO!!! This is a very lean diet designed so I can lose the weight but it is not working! Help!
Thanks for posting, but this board is closing. Please post at the Ask Jonny Bowden board found at http://messageboards.ivillage.com/iv-fbaskjonny. More than likely, your weight is where your body wants to be, and losing more weight would be very difficult. Also, remember that working with weights creates muscle which will make you look leaner at a heavier scale weight.
