It’s with a heavy heart that I made a decision to step down from the CL position of this board.
About 8 years ago I walked through the doors of iVillage, searching for women like myself on a mission to take care of numero uno!
At first I joined one of the community challenges, and loved the support and encouragement I received on the board. When the challenge was complete, I knew I wasn’t - so went in search of a board I would enjoy being part of. There were so many I remember having some difficulty. But then I found the “Getting Fit in Your 30’s” board- perfect. I wasn’t yet 30, but on the verge…. The layout was quite different back then, but the easy going nature and camaraderie of the group was the same. I felt at home. Within a few months both CL’s stepped down, and I decided it was a great opportunity for me. Not only could I give the support that was once offered to me, but I could keep myself motivated too. CL-Terry joined me shortly after I started…. And when she stepped down CL-Miranda stepped in.
There have been so many lessons learned here. So many tips I've heard about. So many yummy (healthy) recipes! So many laughs!!
I have wonderful memories of ladies who have passed through the board. Taking Leslie Sansone walks together, color challenges, minute challenges, community challenges, good ol’ banter, and of course, the discussion of uncomfortable first kisses!! Yes, these memories will live on.
Many, many thanks to all of you- you all make this board what it is. I cannot express how thankful I am to have been part of this community, and still hope to be ;-)
But for now, I must say ADIEU….
