Getting Fit in Your 30s

I voted no, I think since I'm not in the 'High risk" category I decided against it. I wasn't sure about my daughters since all the news are saying that children should get the swine flu shot, and I had my husband ask the doctors where he works and they suggested that we give to my daughters. So I took them last night also thought they might have a higher risk of being exposed at school.

I got the regular flu shot mid-September - my kids got it the beginning of October.

None of us are getting the H1N1. My pediatrician is one that does not reccommend it because she says they came out with it too fast, it hadn't been tested on enough people before distribution and that the American public ARE the guinea pigs. She says she can't answer the "side effects" question people would have because there isn't enough research so she's not ordering it for her office. She says she has seen a lot of cases of H1N1 in her office and basic rest and liquids has been working. A nurse friend of mine also is not getting it for her or her children. So I will keep emphasizing handwashing, hand sanitizer, coughing & sneezing in to your arm and crossing my fingers!
