This really depends on what you mean by fitness routine. Anyone can get out and walk around the block or replace that dessert with a piece of fruit, and maybe that's what you mean by fitness routine. HOWEVER if you're facing other health issues and are looking at revising your diet and fitness routine to a greater extent it might be a good idea to consult with (a) a nutritionist/dietician, or (b) a doctor just to ensure that you are making adjustments that are appropriate.
