It is chilly here in East Tennessee today , my car said 37 this morning on the way to church and it isn't much warmer since. So, I sit here in warm clothes with a cup of hot tea on the computer trying to find things to do. Hubby is working so it is peaceful, no TV on, just the hum of the washer right now. Ahhhh, quiet....
Just thought I would start a thread about your upcoming week and what challenges you will be facing and how your weekend went.

So, anyway I will answer my own questions to start with
My weekend is quiet today, yesterday was absolutely CRAZY at work. People coming out of the woodworks, haha, But I am NOT complaining. I love $$$ so that makes me happy when I am busy.
My week will be challenging tomorrow as hubby wants to go and overeat at Red Lobster, endless shrimp. ANd I do NO seafood, so chicken it will be. I am going to try to stay away from those stupid garlic biscuits. I think I will ask them to take the away. Not a temptation then. Right? And eat my chicken and baked potato and salad.
I think I am down a little. But remember you monday weigh in people, post, post , post on monday. I will.
Anyway, have a great week everyone.

good idea to have them take away the biscuits at red lobster. or better yet when they first seat you, tell them "no biscuits please". then you won't even have to look at them!

how was my weekend? cold! and we're also dealing with ds having some virus (maybe even the flu). whatever it is, it doesn't seem to be hitting him too hard. he's just got a cough and fever. most of the time, his energy levels are great -- he's playing a lot! -- and his appetite is good. so i think that whatever it is, it isn't too serious. that said, we're just monitoring his temperature and keeping it down with ibuprofen, and making sure he gets plenty of fluids. he will have to stay home tomorrow because his temp was 101.2 at 12:30 today and we will need him to be fever free for 24 hours without medicine before sending him to school. luckily, hubby is off work anyway for fall break so i won't have to take the day off.

challenges this week? probably the biggest challenge will be making sure we don't eat out too often. i don't feel like cooking much lately. i know - that's not like me - but it is like a very pregnant me! :-) i'm already worn out when i get home from work, so i don't feel like being on my feet more.

but to make dinners easier, i've gotten some "convenience foods" for this week -- like heat-n-eat roast from the deli section, tyson frozen grilled chicken breast, that sort of thing. i can pair a quick protein like that with a pkg of ready rice and a frozen vegetable. should make dinner a snap! also got a couple of new pasta sauces, so that will make a quick supper, too. boil pasta, toss in sauce, nuke some frozen veggies. and dinner is served!

Cool here in NJ too -- but actually will warm up a bit this week in the 60's most days.

Going to challenge myself to a walking goal -- a minimum of 3 miles a day (did this all spring and most of the summer -- then slacked off)

May poach some fish or chicken breasts for my protien today -- and am looking forward to my afternoon snack of a smoothie made with skim milk and frozen fruit.

Challenges for the week are to make sure I get enough sleep and to try and get back to a reasonable schedule --as DH's schedule is often unpredictable at best -- will try and aim to head to bed early if possible and then skip the naps as overall they tend to backfire.

It was cold here too!  I actually drove through some snow on my way to Pittsburgh Saturday morning.  It wasn't much warmer yesterday.  And this morning, I have to scrape frost off both the rental car (which I was about to return) and my own car (to get to work).  Ugh!

Glad it'll be more normal Oct. temps in a day or two.  I want to see more autumn before we get to winter! :)
