I'm so happy it's October! Fall is my absolute favorite season. It has started to cool off a bit here. But of course, that leads us into the Holidays though...which will be a tough time to continue to eat healthy and control portions!

I am down to my last 10-12 pounds now. I have been feeling good about everything I have been doing. But this week I started working 2x per week and that has put some added stress on. I ended up making a couple of undesirable choices this week. I don't know how some people work full time, take care of the house, their families and still make time for themselves. I am going through a bit of an adjustment right now trying to figure it out and I am only gone 2 nights per week. I am trying to stay really involved with DD's school though too and also get my 2yr old out of the house often as well.

I tried a spinning class this week. That was tough. I don't think I could have even done that 6 weeks ago, but I made it through. I have bumped up my interval training a bit (doing it longer). I saw my trainer on Wednesday and she kicked my butt (since I missed the last week while I was in FL).

I am looking forward to trying to shed most of that last weight during this month and hopefully have it all off by Thanksgiving/beginning of December.

Well way to go.

What exactly is spin class? I'm always hearing about it.

When I started back to work, just a few days a week, it threw my entire family out of whack. It took us the longest time to adjust. You will do it. And I think it's great that you are working. What do you do?

It sounds as though you have really gotten into a great workout routine and you only have 10-12 pounds more to go. That's not that much, and you will get it done if you keep doing what you are doing.

I love fall more than any season, too. It's just starting to color up here, and it's going to be a brilliant red year. Fall reminds me of the patchwork quilts my mother makes. She is a phenomenal quilter.

Cool on the Spinning class! I've always wanted to TRY one but have been to scared to attempt it! That's awesome that you're down to your last 10 -12 pounds!

Spin class is cycling with an instructor. My DH asked me, "why do you need a teacher to tell you how to ride a stationary bike?" I told him to come to class and see!

The instructor guides you through different "rides". You turn the tension up or down on the bike as she instructs, and you do endurance, mountain biking, hills, interval, etc. She takes you through the workout so that you get the best results basically. It was pretty fun but hard!

I am teaching childbirth classes 2x per week. The classes are 3 hours each. I think the hardest for me is being gone from the kiddos 2 nights per week. I miss dinner/bath/bedtime on those nights. DH is great with them, but I am gone for 4+ hours each night. Like I said, it could be worse. I could have to work full time like some moms do. But I am adjusting. I think after I finish the courses I am on now, I am going to take it back down to once per week though.
