Thank you ladies for all your responses.
So you all think I should wait a bit longer until I work out, hey?
I was not going to work out hardcore until I see the Dr, but I thought I
could start slow until then. My biggest problem is "STARTING" a routine. And right now "ROUTINES" are a bit hard with a 3 week old. ( 3 week old on Sunday) But I really want to start SOMETHING. I want to do it to give me more energy and to make myself feel better about myself. Sometimes I start something but I never go though with it . Something comes up and I give up working hard at what I want. ( i hope that sentence made sense , ha ha )
I am 135 right now and if I could just lose 10 pounds , MAYBE 15 I would be so excited. But I want to also be fit . Tighten up my arms and tummy. I think , I know it would boast my self esteem SO very much!
So ladies, what can I do to "START" and " KEEP GOING?" I want this so bad. I always feel so tired and thats why I dont work out. Bad excuse! So if anyone has tips that can HELP me I would love to hear the advice. Remember I have a 3 week old, so I cant just go to the gym when I want :( But I know there is so much more I can do besides going to the gym!
I know this is not so hard but sometimes it is!
Thank you ladies and I cant wait to get to know you all better! Thanks for welcoming me to this board!
Melissa

If you have to do anything, and you feel "up" to it you can try to walk--but don't carry the baby or push a stroller. Believe me, I tried that and it was a terrible mistake.

Also, remember to continue doing your "Kegel" exercises.

IN the meantime, research and look into various programs and exercises you think you would like to do.

I felt great, too. But then when I was out walking, I woke up along the side of the road with my stroller in the street as a friend of mine just happened to see me pass out and came to my rescue.

It was a scary experience. The next times I had babies, I waited until the doctor said I could start exercising.

But you know, some people are ready to jump right in after they have babies. You might just be one of them. :)

And as for how much walking--that depends on how much time you have, how the weather is, how your baby acts, and all kinds of other factors.

Honestly, until you get the okay to lift weights, jog, do weight training, yoga or anything else, walking is absolutely the best form of exercise there is. It tones everything and works the heart muscle, too, if you walk fast enough.

And the Kegels tone the inner muscles and help with the baby belly.

I am going to agree with Konnie here. dont overdo anything adn wait till your cleared by the dr, but going for walks (especially now when the weather is so iffy) can a be a great way to do it. I would just stick to short walks.

Maybe another thing you could do is start writing down what you are doing and when. I know itty bitty babies dont have much of a schedule, but the more you can figure out, the more you can learn "Okay, at X hes usually sleeping, so I could do some kegel exercises or (after your cleared) a short video." And then just make sure that everyday you try to do it at the same time.

And dont feel bad, I am a routine person as well, and I have a harder than heck time remembering to schedule a workout in there as well. But, I try, and I have learned that (for me) even just trying is a step in the right direction.
