Hi,

I have been working out 3 days a week in a body reconditioning class.  It is a high intense class that includes boxing throughout.  I lost 10 lbs 8 months ago through southbeach diet (I no longer eat carbs).  I love my class and have definitely seen some great results.  I am down 1.5 sizes, but the scale has not changed.  I hate the belly that I still have.  How can I lose it.  We do a lot of core working this class.  Should I step it up another day?  Please advise!!

Hi adn welcome to the board.

Congrats on how far you have already come. I know its taken a ton of hard work.

I was wondering, how long have you been doing the class? Sometimes you need to shake things up so that your body has to try new things. It may be that you need to do some weights or change to a different class to get different muscle groups going?

Also, I know you said you did south beach, but are you drinking just straight water, and how much? Sometimes that can have alot of great effects to and cut calories you didnt know you were getting.

Other than that, I dont have that many ideas, but I am sure the other ladies will pop in and give you a few. Personally, I am not great at sticking with something for so long as I (Sadly) get bored easily.

I am glad you found us, Feel free to make yourself at home. Share some tips of your own or go looking for some in out tip area, or start yourself a journal to track your progress in our Mommy fitness diaries, or just chat with other moms in our Active moms area.

I cant wait to get to know you better.

I'm working on losing mine too. I know it's mostly cardio you have to do to burn the fat and then toning exercises. Konnie should be by soon with some tips - she's the "flat belly" mom of the group ;-)

Hi and welcome to the board.

I would try adding another day and see how that goes. Also, like Kerri said, sometimes you have to shake your workouts up a bit. If you have been doing the same thing for months on end, then try something else, perhaps another class or add some weight training to the mix either before or after the class.

Also, try adding some extra cardio after your class if you are not ready to give up your class.

When you say core training, what kinds of exercises are you doing? And how many are you doing?
