Thanksgiving Challengers, please check in and let us know how you did this past week!  Does Halloween present any special difficulties for you?  Do you have any good tricks for bypassing the treats?

Now that we are about halfway through the challenge, how are you feeling about your goals?

I had a pretty good week.  I exercised (alomst) as much as I wanted to, ate (almost) as well as I should and lost a pound.  Its not much, but its the first time I've seen the scale move in the right direction for a while, so it feels like a good start.

Since I am having to make a number of dietary changes right now for medical reasons, my emphasis this last week has really been on that, more than anything else. For the rest of the Challenge, making this changes will be my most important goal.  But I still want to keep my exercise up and this will be a greater challenge with the shorter days, as I greatly prefer outdoor exercise.  I also want to keep the scale going down.  I may not make my 5 pound goal, but any loss is a good loss!

Strangely, I don't find most Halloween candy very tempting.  I just have to watch out for boredome grazing when bowls of the leftover candy hit the office next week.  I doubt we'll have any kids up at the house, and my just in case bag of goodies will be something I don't like.

I had a rough week, though no fault of my own. Being down and out with a cold really but a damper on my exercise plans and threw off my eating as well. Then AF showed up on Sunday, so I have not stepped on the scale in a few days....

I did manage to get in some strength training though, so a small accomplishment there! This week I am aiming for a run every day, even if it is a short one, and two sessions of weights and ab work.

This week was better.  Both kids have been back to school after having been home sick, so I have been working out more.  DH was away, so I didn't drink any wine, and I ate smaller meals.  I think my goal of being in the 120's is very realistic; it's just up to me to make it happen.

Halloween isn't an issue.  We don't get trick-or-treaters, but my kids go out and will bring candy home.  Candy just doesn't do anything for me, so I'm not too concerned.

Hey ladies!!!

I am doing well, everyone is better. No more fevers, coughing, etc!!

I had my 18 weeks appt and I am DOWN 2 LBS from my 13 week appt!!!!

I have done BETTER.. but not great with my NO FAST FOOD. It's just sooo soo soo good!

However, the baby is high and out front which means I cannot eat very much at one time and I attribute THAT (and being sick!) to my weight loss.

I will take it through b/c I really would like to stick to the 25-35 that my OB recommended. So far, so good - at 18 weeks I've gained 9 lbs total.
