Today's Supercharge Change: Fake it until you feel it
There is nothing more revitalizing than an hour or two a week of special pamper-yourself time. Whether it's an uninterrupted bath with Epsom salts and essential oils, a mani or pedi at the local nail salon, an at-home steam facial with cucumbers and yogurt slathered everywhere, or a store bought massage, you are sending the message to yourself and those around you that you are worth a little relaxation break.
You're entitled to uninterrupted guilt-free private time. Here are some ways to get in your down time.
1. Ask your family and closest friends for a gift certificate to the local spa or salon. This actually makes gift giving very easy for all involved, especially if they all pool their resources at the same place.
2. Make a "privacy please" sign to display when your "me time" is in progress. You will reap the benefits of setting boundaries and putting yourself first.
3. Turn your bathroom into a mini spa. Collect bath oils, salts, creams, exfoliation gloves, great shavers, incredible tweezers, plush bath towels and wonderfully scented candles to create your very own Shangri la.
