I just had to laugh a few minutes ago, because one of my co-workers just asked if I was done losing weight.  Umm no.  I still have about 50 more lbs to lose before I meet my goal weight.  Right now I am still considered 'obese' (which is better than 'morbidly obese' where I was just a few months ago).  Soon I will be in the 'overweight' category.  But yeah, she thought because I'm tall (5'8") that I had already met my goal.  200 (well I'm 197 now) is NOT the ideal weight for 5'8", 150 is.  I printed out a BMI calculator to show her. :p  Now I may look thinner than I am because I know how to dress.  Nobody but myself and DH (and Conor sometimes LOL) sees the nightmare that is my belly. :p

You are doing great! I think I am done losing and unfortunately I am still in the obese category. I think I need to lose 10 more pounds or so to be considered overweight which I will gladly take, lol. I feel great and I was really hoping to weigh 140 pounds but it just isn't going to happen.

Keep up the great work!

Thank you.  And hey I think you're doing great too.  Don't lose heart and don't lose hope.  I think w/ some people it just takes longer than others.  And I can't remember, did you have the rny or the lapband?

Oh I haven't lost hope but being 14 months out (RNY) the weight loss is probably done. My doctors goal was for me to reach 170 pounds and I'm at 169 so I'm happy. I'm thrilled with how great I feel physically as well as how confident about myself. My BMI went from 54.7 to 31 so that is awesome.

You ladies are both amazing.  Losing over 100 pounds is quite an accomplishment.  I, like Melissa, am afraid that I may be done losing weight.  I lost 48 pounds and am down to 165 but wanted to be 139 just so I could say I am in the 130's.  Being 165 pounds and only 5'2" is not ideal but I do feel alot better than I did when I was over 200 lbs.  Congrats ladies!

Mary
