Well, I've been in a fitness/health rut for most of this year!!  During the last few weeks I hit rock bottom - doing things like eating complete junk all day, barely drinking any water, and of course, not exercising.  I just felt so "blah".  Then last week an old friend of my mom's ( that I knew well as a kid) passed away at age 51.  They think it was a heart attack or stroke - personally I think that is too young to die.  Soooo, that helped me get back on track.  I started WW again (on my own) and got on the treadmill twice this week.  I feel so much better this week knowing I've been making positive choices.

Hope everyone is doing well.  It was nice to see some familiar "faces" posting today!  I check the forum several times a week - but really had nothing much to contribute 'til now.

Congrats on finding the motivation to get busy working on your health again. I think we all go through slumps now and then. Once you get out of the habit of eating right and working out, it's sooo hard to get back into it again. lol

Hi Everyone, hope you are all doing well and keeping up with your workouts.  Here is my checkin for this week.

Sun, Hi Def Sculpt

Mon, Cardio Yoga (from exercise t.v.) and 3 mile walk

Tues, Cardio Party and 3.2 mile hike (up a mountain at a state park)

Weds, Firm Yoga

Thurs.  3 mile walk and upper body sculpt.

Fri, off

Sat, off

I had planned to workout today but that just didn't happen.  I've been adding in Yoga and Pilates to my Firm workouts for cross training puposes and also to keep from overdoing it.  I usually workout 5/6 days a week, and I have a physical job, lots of lifting and walking, so every couple of months I get wiped out for a couple days it seems.  I had the beginnings of shin splints a couple of weeks ago, so last week I just alternated between Pilates (which is totally new to me) and Yoga.  I was able to workout this week with no problem.  So, although I wish all my workouts were Firm workouts,  I feel I am still getting good workouts in and enjoying this new form of exercise.
