How do I get myself motivated and to stay motivated to walk  every single day?  I know that it is good for my health, and honestly I am TIRED of feeling like a lazy bum.  I'm very proud of the figure that I have and I want to keep it that way.  It seems like everyone in my family is running.  My sister and her hubby just started running again.....my cousin and her brother are running...and well my aunt has always been a runner.  I think a HUGE part of it is that I don't  like exercising by myself.  Any suggestions?

I know for me  I HAVE to do it first thing in the morning or I absolutely WILL NOT do it. It makes me feel so good to get up and get it in first thing, then I know I don't have to worry about it the rest of the day.

I have to put my walking shoes out in the living room and I also get the dvd ready that I am going to do, also I put my water in the fridge so all I have to do is grab it as soon as I get ready to workout. I make everything as easy for myself as possible, lol..

I know it's hard to find that motivation, but once you get it you will be feeling soo good. I remember Leslie said on one of her workouts before she has never heard anyone say they regret working out after they did, only that they didn't workout..soo true!

Let us know how things are going for you! Cheering you on~

I agree with Holly - once I'm actually doing it - I feel great! The problem of course is finding the time AND the motivation! Morning workouts are great and I used to do them myself - then I changed jobs to a building that has a free gym so I started scheduling my workouts around my lunch hour. Now I have a co-worker that goes with me too - and like you said - it makes me HAVE to bring my clothes because I know someone else is depending on me. What about any group exercise classes @ a local gym or Y? Good luck!

Well, I know exactly what you mean.  I quit doing the dvd walking about a month ago and I can tell such a difference in my clothing and I have put on about 6 pounds so I went last night and bought a new dvd.  The 5 day slim down.  It has a mile a day to do but you can do all 5 miles.  It also has some breakfast help at the end.  I really like it so far and since it's new it kinda makes me more motivated.

The great thing about WATP is that it's convenient, quick, and you don't need to put a lot of thought into it. Not a lot you can do about exercising alone, but I'd say get your exercise in early in the morning and then you are done w/ it for the day : )
