Hi All,

I am new to this board. I am 31 yr old mom, and I want to lose about 25 lbs to reach my dream weight. I have been walking/jogging for about 30 mins atleast 5 days a week and thats the only exercise I do. And in no way will I call myself fit.

When I started the 30 day shred program yday, I was expecting it to be much tougher, though I enjoyed it thoroughly, I don't think I felt the exercise was too tough or to put it the other way , I am not feeling my muscles aching today etc... So now I am questioning if I did it right?! I even walked for 20 mins after the workout.

I probably will be upping my weights and the one big modification I did yday was to follow Anita for the push ups.

I am just looking for some assurance that others have felt the program not too bad on the first day too!

I felt exactly the same way you did. I still stuck with Level 1 for the ten days like I planned. On day one of Level 2 I thought I might need a ventilator to get me through because Levels 2 and 3 are much more challenging.

I am glad I stuck with Level 1 until the end because I did gain muscle strength and got rather good at the push ups. Now that I've completed the 30 days I use weights when I do level one cardio. You'll learn this in Level 3, but basically I hold my light weights during the punches, butt kicks, jumping jacks, etc.

Good luck and be sure to stuck with it - as Jillian says.....the only person you'll be cheating is yourself!

I found that the first segment of Level 1 was the most challenging and the rest was not bad at all to get through. Once I mastered the first part it got too easy so I started adding in more weight, challenging myself to do more push ups,etc to make it more difficult.

I find the first part of Level 1 challenging, but the rest okay. I find some of the other parts of Level 2, 3 pretty intense.

If you were already in pretty good shape, then feel good about not feeling bad--LOL!

Stick with level 1 for a while to get used to how to do some of the exercises, and then move up. If you need a challenge, add more weight.

Hey--Great to see you here!
