I'm so excited, I just did my 3rd day. :) I've tried the dvd before but never made it past 3 days, and those were alternating.  I have done it for 3 days in a row!  I was going to do everyother day but my work schedule this week has worked out for me to do it every morning, and I've followed it by 20 minutes on the treadmill.

I need to lose a lot of weight and have never been successful in my attempts before.  I am very motivated now, however, and hoping that by doing the Shred for 30 days along with cardio I will be able to lose some pounds and tone up a lot.  I've been able to tone before by doing gym classes so I'm sure I will with this.  I will be happy to lose anything off the butt and gutt and looking forward to some toned arms and legs.

If anyone is around this board anymore I will keep checking in.

Sandy

Hey Sandy!

Welcome and GREAT JOB. There are people still here. Lots of them have finished the 30days and are doing alternative stuff, but several people have had remarkable results from shredding.

So you got past day three, huh? Is it getting any easier? How are you doing on the pushups?

Great to hear from you. Keep us informed as to your progress.

did you take measurements? did you weigh? Several people did to see what their change would be at the end.

Hi Konnie, well I didn't get the Shred done today because of work and appointments but tonight I did 45 minutes of cardio between my treadmill and bike and a few exercises with hand weights like Jillian does.  I didn't have the heart to do my dvd when the kids wanted the tv.  I have to work tomorrow too but the kids go to their father tomorrow night so I will do the Shred then.  Can't wait to get day 4 done :)

Amazingly I found the pushups easier after the first day.  Yesterday I kept up with them (on modified) but it was definately a killer.  I've always liked strength training but hate cardio so that's what I find difficult.  I despise the jumping jacks.  I honestly think I can see more definition in my arms already.  I didn't measure - hate that too because I don't think I know what I'm doing, but have weighed.  I almost always gain pounds when I start working out so it is very discouraging that way but I will keep at it this time and hopefully the scale goes down.  I'm going to judge by my clothes the inches lost.

I've been reading some posts and seeing how everyone does, so it's encouraging!

Pushups are the fastest way to see definition and toning in your entire upper body. Even if you don't do Shred, do at least several sets of pushups a night. You will be shocked in just a few short weeks how your upper arms, chest and core muscles start to look!

Try to do at least TWO pushups a set the regular way. I had to start with one and build up.

I hate cardio too! That's why I like Shred. 20 minutes later, I've done both cardio and strength training and I'm done with cardio if I want to be done. LOL

I hated the jumping jacks at first, but now I do them outside of Shred because they are so good. Same with jump rope. Remember as a kid being able to jump rope all day? LOL

So great job!

Just did my Day 4 and this time the cardio killed me; I think it was too soon after I had supper.  I hate all that jumping around, but like the weights.  Kept up with the pushups again.  I'll try your suggestion of two regular ones but I really don't know if I can, I think I weigh too much!

I like working out but I have serious doubts right now about if I can lose weight.  I've tried for so long and it's discouraging.  My stomach is so big and gross and I know that takes forever to lose.  I am actually thinking about trying diet pills.  Sorry, just having a little pity party right now.

I'll keep at it!
