Hi all!  I am in need of suggestions.  I think part of my problem is sugar.  Whether the real stuff or the fake stuff, I think it is sabotaging my weight loss efforts.  I get really hungry in the afternoon and it seems like no matter what I do (workout, sleep, etc.) or eat (as a snack) all I want is something sugary (candy, cakes, pie, etc.).  I am getting really frustrated because i have not lost in quite a while.  I have not been following the plan to a tea either, but I am bf my baby and I think he is going through a growth spurt because all he does is eat, and that makes me super hungry.  So, all I feel like I do is eat.  So, does anyone have any suggestions?  Has anyone ever been through this...what did you do?

Thanks!

Jen

Dried fruit will help.  Another thing that worked great for me when I was nursing and needed a sweet fix was a snack sized bag filled with grapes or a little snack sized cup of pineapple chunks.

Some people swear a dill pickle will cut a sweet craving.

What a hard spot to be in!  Are you increasing the number of times you are nursing?  If so, are you at the max allowance for adding points?  That could be partially why you aren't losing as well right now either.  Your body needs fuel to keep it going.  Make sure you are eating enough proteins as well.  Amy gave you some great ideas!

Thanks girls!  I re-read my post, and it seems as though I am whining just a little!  lol!  I just need to put my mind to it and get over it.  Maybe i just needed to vent.  I do appreciate the suggestions and will try them.  Yes, I am at the max 12 points for nursing right now.  I am hoping it will calm down some soon as far as his eating goes.  Again, thanks for the suggestions!

I love the WW candies. I freeze the mints. I also buy Snickers bars and cut them into bite sized pieces and freeze those. Often for me, one piece and my body is no longer craving the sugar.
