I told DH to take it to work with him on Monday so it was out of the house.
I do not have that much willpower to have it sit in front of me. That'd just be cruel.
Take it one meal at a time. Look at your options, don't get too hungry, and back up. This is not about temporarily restricting your diet. This is about life long changing habits. Poor habits are gorging on candy. So, how can you stop yourself? If having the candy in the house is going to be too much, remove it. If you're addicted to crack, you dont keep it on hand, KWIM?
Change your situation to make it work WITH you. Place healthy sweet treats. Berries, etc.
Focus on prevention. If I get too hungry I lose my focus and it goes down hill. I MUST snack all day long to keep myself from thinking about food and being tempted to make a bad choice. Water consumption is a must for me as well. I am now drinking 2 - 3 water bottles a day. This is HUGE for me. I never used to drink water. Days where I drink it I'm much better about staying on plan.
