About a year and a half ago, I started taking a large quantity of different vitamins/supplements, and since then, I have noticed that my previously thick hair has started coming out much more and thinning. How can I determine what is causing the hair loss? Please help.

PS I have had a blood test for thyroid problems, and haven't heard back, so I assume that my thyroid is functioning normally.

Hair loss is a symptom of vitamin A poisoning.  If you are taking large doses of it in the retinol form, that may be the problem.  You would be experiencing other symptoms as well, however, such as headaches, nausea, bone pain, very dry skin, skin sores, and more.
