Today is National Men Make Dinner Day

http://www.menmakedinnerday.com/home/index.php

If your spouse or SO were to make dinner tonight would you think  "Terrific, he's a a great cook."

Or would you think, "Better get ready to have pizza delivered!"

I would be thinking.... "Better get that pizza-man on stand-by".... except knowing my husband, he'd throw a frozen pizza in the oven and say... That's supper!  Unless he burned it, then of course, we'd call the pizza-man!

I'd say "terrific he's a great cook" followed by "sh*t...my kitchen's going to be a disaster"! lol
We are actually making supper together tonight. He's grilling steak and I'm making baked potatoes...sounds like a fair trade, right?! And since he's grilling I won't have to worry about my kitchen!
Can't complain though...he likes to cook and doesn't complain about it. I can handle the dishes if that's the case!

I'd think - delivery.  My DH is more than willing to take over cooking duties for the night, but he always asks me how to do everything, so it would be easier if I just did it myself.

Even if he's just making spaghetti!  I get, where is the pan?  should I heat up the sauce?  Should I put the sauce on the noodles?  How long do I cook the noodles?  Where is the strainer?  And the end result takes twice as long and I usually end up in the kitchen finishing things up.

So, when I'm having a difficult day, I say, instead of you making dinner, can we please just get takeout??  That's what we're doing tonight!

The only thing my husband would be good at making for dinner would be reservations!  Works for me!
