Hard to believe, but today Lena is THREE months old! I can't believe that she's outgrowing the newborn phase... and starting to roll on her side, hold her head up when she's on her tummy and grab things and put them in her mouth.
In the past three months, we've had a lot of down moments, but I just wanted to highlight a few ups. Underneath all that pain, Lena has a sweet, sweet disposition and is a beautiful smiley baby. And I think she saves her biggest smiles for Momma:) But I might be biased. I've also gotten to watch Emma grow into a really terrific big sister. She loves her Nonna and she always asks for her first thing every morning (even when she wakes up at 4 am:). Emma's people-loving personality makes her the perfect big sister for a sometimes screamy Lena. And just when Geof and I think that we can't take another sleepless night or crying jag or terrible two tantrum, they do something amazing or new or funny or just plain THEM and we know that the rewards of parenting are certainly far greater than the sacrifices. After all who wouldn't give up a few months of sleeping through the night to hear their sweet daughter exclaim in front of her grandmother, "Oh F*ck!" as she points to a truck going by on the street! Luckily, my mom found this as amusing as I did! Or ask if she could have some "F*ckers" to eat with her cheese. I should probably work with her on her pronunciation, but its just too funny! And yesterday, Lena grabbed a toy and stuffed it in her mouth like she'd been doing it her whole life.
Attaching some pics of my beautiful girls for you all to see how quickly they are growing.
