I've been busy laying new floors!  Not much computer time here either.  I want my home back in order in time for the holidays.

I'm laying a laminate throughout the entire house, that looks like hardwood but isn't, so it is waterproof.  It's a resin product and it looks amazing.  I chose it because it is allergy friendly, I can keep it up without chemicals and cleaning products, and it won't trap mold spores, pet hair, and pollen.  Lots of work, but worth it!

I'm thinking about buying a freezer so I can do more holiday baking.  I don't eat sweets and stuff, but I do like to cook them.  So it's nice to have little gifts tucked back.

I have been playing with my meat grinder too, and would like to stash some bargain meats (as my own sausage).  I mentioned to my son in law, the hunter, that when he bags his first deer, don't forget that I have a commercial grinder and stuffer over here, and would love to help process the meat.  WELL, he informed me that he does too....

Chris is an electrical engineer at Thuyssen-Krupp, he designs elevators.  He took an old cast aluminum meat grinder and made a flywheel motor for it out of used elevator parts.  It's hilarious to see, but it works!  Nicki made a video.  I've asked her to share.

You don't have a freezer?  Or you are needing another one?  I do ned to get another one, but I dont think it will be in the stars for this year.  Hopefully by springtime and certainly by next year.

I have the freezer that is built into my refrigerator, but not a separate freezer for stashing (in my case, hoarding).

Maybe I am better off without an extra freezer.  I freeze stuff and forget about it.  I need to eat what I HAVE, not buy more and freeze it.

When my mom died last year, we found meats and cheese in her freezer from 1997.  Salad dressings in the fridge that expired in 2001.  Canned goods in her pantry that dated back to my youth.  It was horrifying.  I don't want to become her.  But I'm a hoarder...I do not know why.
