discussion title:
Potential Renters/Buyers...
Good afternoon everyone!
I wanted to open this discussion to get some opinions and other's point of view.
I recently moved into a beautiful condo complex with my family which we all love so far. Our neighbors seem to be friendly enough and it's a new building so it's still very quiet.
Earlier this afternoon I took our two puppies outside for their routine walk and I came across what must have been a unit owner and some potential buyers/renters in the hallway. My dogs made some fuss, but overall they are well behaved dogs. I greeted the people politely and went about my business with the puppies. When I got back up to our floor, the visitors and the owner were on their way into the elevator. I excused myself and my dogs and began to walk away when the gentleman visitor asked me in somewhat of a rude tone "Do you live here?" I answered that I did, but I was quite offended by the question being asked. I believe it was a question out of irritation with my dogs and since they were an older couple, I can see how that would be a turn off. Still, I felt it was a weird question to ask someone who clearly belongs in the building. We pay extra to have our dogs in this building, and I didn't appreciate the attitude that I received from the visitors. Obviously I can't determine fully what he meant by the question, but all signs were point to what I described.
Am I wrong for thinking that it was somewhat rude to ask me that? I may be being too sensitive on this one...
Any opinions would be appreciated!
Thank you!
Elaina
