Would you consider a wall bed? You know the type that store against the wall and lower onto the floor for night? I'm interested to hear from anyone who may have one, I'm considering one for the quest room that doesn't need the bed to be available all the time, Thanks!

Patricia

Hi Pat,

I personally think the murphy beds are a great space saver. If I ever have the opportunity to have one in a guest room, I would get it.

Floor space is important to me with all the arts and crafts that I can spread out, and can easily be packed away if guests are staying over.

It all depends on how you use your floor space.

Heres another cool alternative to the murphy bed

Thanks for the link Marie, I love it! A lovely piece of furniture that takes no more space than a chest of drawers is a nicer idea than what I had imagined and I didn't know they were called Murphy beds, thanks for that too :)

I need a place to get out my sewing machine and not have to pack it up when we want to eat at the dining room table. What type of crafts to you do Marie?

I like the chest of drawer style of bed. Makes for a nice piece of decorative furniture when not in use.

Me, I enjoy embelishing items, such as picture frames, lamps, drawers, beds and anything else I can get my hands on. The size of the item depends on my time factor.

At the moment with all the renovations going on at home, everything is everywhere. Gotta love disorganized chaos!

I would highly recommend a wallbed, I have a queen one in my guest room. I bought it from www.wallbedfactory.com and they were great to work with. The bed has a normal mattress in it, so it makes for a very comfortable bed that all of my guest have enjoyed. I live in a smaller house so in really becomes a great space saver.
