I would love to hear how you use some of the harvest from your garden.

We had a bumper crop of smaller pumpkins (all shapes sizes and colors),so I have been trying different things to use some of the pumpkin.

This made a full blender and tasted like pumpkin pie - my kids LOVED it.

2 cups cooked fresh pureed pumpkin
2 cups yogurt (Plain or vanilla)
1 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
Dash of ground cloves
1/3 cup brown sugar (or to taste - probably would use less if you use vanilla`yogurt)
A few ice cubes

Blend in blender and enjoy.

Haven't tried this but I know zucchini can be abundant for some gardeners.

What a fun way to use up your zucchini and get use out of your dehydrator if you have one.

I am a freezer, I will grate up zuchini and freeze it for zuchini bread.    Pumpkin, I cook it like a squash, then will puree it and freeze it for pumpkin bread, pumpkin cake, pumpkin soup etc.     I will try to get some recipes up on here, I dont think I have any of them on the computer.

There is a joke I have seen many versions of over the years about zuchini!

Many involve people reminding others that they need to be sure and LOCK their vehicles.  NOT so someone cant steal it but so your neighbors cannot sneak over in the dark and put a bunch of zuchini in it!!  For that reason I have never quite wanted to plant any. I will plant crookneck squash but they dont get that big!!

My sister asked me one year if I wanted A zuchini. I thought she was being chintzy because that was when chocolate zuchini cake was so popular.  Then she brought me this THING!!  I swear before they came out with the personal size I still saw smaller WATERMELONS!!  I swear this one was at least a 8" high and at least 18" long!!
