A little off topic!

Do you give out or make homemade Halloween treats?

I make pumpkin bread and spice cookies shaped like pumpkin's every Halloween. I use orange icing! They are for home and Church.  I have made some great candy apples a few times for the kids in our neighborhood.

Do you make anything or even buy any goodies?

Hi Doris,

I'd LOVE to make homemade Halloween treats for trick or treaters but...........
#1 I take my kids trick or treating
#2 we live in a big city or homemade goodies are out of the question. There are about 15 kids in the area who we know & whos parents would let them eat a homemade goodie from me but the other 100 have no clue who I am so I'm pretty sure that "treat" would go in the garbage. I admit I'd do the same if a stranger gave my kid a homemade treat on Halloween, who knows what they may have put in that treat. 

But now that you have given the idea maybe I'll make a batch of candy apples or cute cupcakes & deliver them to people I know.

Gosh I'm sure going to miss our neighborhood Halloween party since the family that hosted it just moved a few months ago.

Around here, people are so paranoid about someone tampering with treats, no one dares hand out home-made candies or caramel apples or popcorn balls or...

If they aren't prepackaged, preferably in tamper proof packaging at that, parents simply won't let the kids accept them!
