I recently visited a Feng Shui shop here in town and I noticed that there are two kinds on mirrors (concave and convex). What's the difference between the two and how do I know which one to use.

I have a large patio balcony that slides open through two doors (on each side). Prob is the balcony is directly facing some power lines (and poles). There is even a dead bird hanging from one of the poles! How do I rectify???

Hi and welcome!

The power company should be contacted about removing that poor dead bird.

To counter the effect of those power lines upon your balcony, hang a wind chime from the eaves. If space allows, you could also position a plant potted against a trellis or lattice to mask the view of those power poles.

A convex mirror is more often referred to in feng shui as it is very useful in solving problems with the flow of energy around problem corners, stairwells and long halls. The shape allows the flow to be better redirected, or to be slowed down a fast-moving lane.

Personally, I haven't come across a situation requiring a concave mirror solution. The only other type of mirror commonly used in modern feng shui is flat.

I hope this helps.
