I see what you did, you where using compass feng shui or formula feng shui which is more complex and detailed than the FS which applies aligns the bagua to the front of the house. they are just 2 different methods. one easier than the other. do what works best for you. my sister for example uses the formula feng shui which places the north on the backyard where she has a pool and that works great for them. you can tell as soon as you walk into the house if she did it the other way, with the mouth facing career, her backyard would be fame (fire) and the pool would be horrible for them. As for me, I use the other method (the door as a mouth method) b/c is the less harming for my floorplan. Anyway, I hope that answers your question. Good Luck! Ana:)
