WOW!!! Congrats Kerryl!!!

How long have you been together now? I'm so glad that it is working out with him. Something about the other guy just didn't seem right. It's about time you got someone who was committed to you and not their parents.

Keep us posted on the both of the things going on in your life!

Full Story:  Ian texted me asking if I wanted lunch - just after I'd left the office for lunch, so I called and said I couldn't, but I'll see him in the evening.

About 2:30, he came to the office, and I met him in the hall as we had a major meeting going on in the boardroom, which is opposite my office.

He handed me a small cactus - which I thought was for my office and was rather stoked to receive. He had a postcard of Adelaide Oval tied to it. I turned the postcard over, and on the back he'd written "Kerryl, marry me?".

I said yes and hugged him.

At that point he asked "do you like the ring?" My response - "what ring?" I hadn't even noticed it attached to the postcard!!!

Ring is a Ceylon sapphire with diamond side-stones (no idea on the specs of stones at this stage). It's off being re-sized, so I only had it for about 5 minutes, before he took it to be resized. I'll have it back late next week.

As we've only been together for 4.5 months, the plan at this stage is for an longer engagement, and we'll nut out dates for the wedding a bit further down the track.

Siggy
