I've been craving greens, I love seasoned greens, with butter, I have no idea where or when I'll get them.

Do you like greens?

Have you ever had Red Beans and Rice?

I love greens! In fact, in order to keep  my clotting factor in balance, I have to have some almost every day. It's got a lot of Vit. K, and that can affect my blood thinner meds. The dose is dependent on what I eat, and since I was eating a lot of greens when they set the dose, I get to continue on with having lots of salads and my favorite - Swiss chard. I like kale and spinach, but chard is wonderful. Don't they have greens at your local grocery store? Mine stocks both fresh and frozen.

Yes, we used to have red beans and rice fairly often, but with dh's colitis, beans are out. I can get it at restaurants, but don't want to make it at home. It would tempt him, and I try not to do that.

There are 2 local stores, neither is good about keeping  things stocked.

I usually have to go out of town to get anything.

I'm sorry to hear that, Brenda! Maybe they know they have the area locked up, so feel they can get away with anything. There are so many stores in my area, they really compete for business.

I knew that when I moved back to my hometown, but circumstances made it necessary.

I used to live closer to better stores, where I lived with DH, we lived closer to a larger city.  Both of us worked in that city. :o(
