Lynna is gone.

My friend, Lynna, passed away just before 12:30 yesterday afternoon. I feel sure that Sarah was with her, as we all knew her time was getting VERY short.

I hope we can get through the funeral without any huge, unneccessary upheavals, though! Some alleged "friend" of Lynna's, along with a couple of her cronies, has been sending out horrible, venomous emails, trying to sabatoge Sarah's character & bad-mouthing several people. (Sarah had been group-emailing updates on Lynna's condition daily & these people are sending to everyone on that list.) We have no idea what their motivation is, but if they turn up at the funeral, I don't know what will happen. Crap like this is the LAST thing Lynna would have wanted; she was outspoken, but not confrontational. She'd be denouncing the whole mess & shaking her head at the lunacy. I only hope she's otherwise occupied & not seeing this incredibly offensive behavior going on.

REST IN PEACE, LYNNA - I'll bet they have the BEST trail rides up there!

I am so sorry for your loss and it sounds like the world has lost another good person with Lynna's passing. I think what Sarah was doing for her is pretty wonderful and can't imagine what on earth would be someone's motivation to try and put any type of negative spin on that. I really hope these other "friends" did not disrupt the funeral or have caused any other problems at a time when you're all just trying to deal with the loss of a loved one.

Both the visitation & the funeral went off with no drama; the troublemakers did show up, but everyone acted like adults. It was a nice service; it says a lot about Lynna that the pastor got choked up enough that he had to stop & regain his composure twice.

Thanks for your good thoughts!

I'm glad to hear that everything went smoothly and everyone was able to prioritize giving Lynna and her passing the respect they deserved. It does sound like she was a well-loved woman with many friends and I'm sure that meant a lot to her in the end.
