my poor baby has had a leaky eye for over a week. this green goop was coming out at one point so i called up my vet and scheduled her an appointment. from time to time her eye will leak but its only for a few days at a time (maybe twice/year). she also has some bumps that feel like little scabs that i want checked out. they'll also weight her and maybe trim her nails. i just hope that whatever is wrong with her is very minor and clears up easily. she is my little baby! cat owners will know what i mean. ;-) wish her luck!

Oh no, poor Daisy. I hope that it is minor too. I wish her luck.

Poor Daisy, I hope her vet visit went well and she's doing better! It could be something very minor, she could have just scratched herself and the eye goop could be related to seasonal allergies. I'm hoping for the best!

thanks for your concern ladies. of course- how things always turn out- daisy's eyes were fine by the time she saw the vet. he said whatever it was it cleared up on its own. the scabs he said were probably related to the heat as they weren't pussing. he called her "perfect"- her eyes, ears, lungs, heart, teeth, and especially her weight are wonderful. he said he was even going to write that in her chart. when i said "not bad for a 13.5-year-old cat, eh?" he said that she doesn't look older than 6. LOL he was surprised when i told him how daisy can drive me crazy when it comes to scooping out her box immediately after she uses it and her waking me up in the middle of night just to watch her eat. she's my baby and i just love her. ;-) i have to take her for another T4 level in october and continue to weight her monthly.

That's great, I'm glad she got a clean bill of health! It sounds like the vet was really impressed with her for her age, so I'm sure you'll have her company for a long while :)
