i no longer work at the school i finished the year at. that job was only until the end of the school year and i had to bid on it retain it. i tried but was outbid by someone who has been working for the schools longer than myself. my current assignment is as a 1-on-1 TA for a visually impaired 4th grade girl. school starts tomorrow and i'm nervous! i don't know anybody at this school. the good thing is this school is very close to where i live. the commute is about 1 minute. i just hope that my student is nice and that i get along with my teachers. i probably won't sleep tonight. i usually don't the night before i start a new job.
I hope everything has been going well with the new job! I'm sure it's tough to keep switching but hopefully it won't take long for you to settle in and become comfortable.
i'm starting to get into the routine. of course each day is totally different so routine mostly flies out the window! lol even though i am in a 1-on-1 i am also working with the other special ed kids in our class. its a tough group and every kid has a learning disability of some kind and major behavioral problems. i hope the year goes by fast! my student thinks that she is the boss. i have a year to teach her elsewise. lol
