Vacations & Trips

This fall DH and I traveled to the New England states for the first time and I met two cyber friends that I've known for 10 years now.  I had contacted Andrea because we had hit it off from the beginning and she has been one of the only few cyber-friends I've always wanted to meet.   Nancy was another cyber-friend that lived nearby and wanted to meet me too.    Andrea and her family welcomed my husband and myself into their home and Nancy joined us a little later.  We had a great visit on a warm rainy day in Massachusetts.  We didn't take the trip just to meet my cyber-friends but they lived near places we had planned to visit.

It sounds like you had a good time! If you have any pics of your trip, please post them in the next folder. I love New England but the closest I get is Bethlehem PA in late September. The leaves are beautiful then but I know they get better!

Yes! I actually met one of my best friends that way. We both hired an online personal trainer in 1998 and "met" in his chat room to discuss workouts. We clicked immediately and had so much in common that we began emailing every day, sometimes several times a day. Eight months later I traveled to her hometown to meet her and well.....it's now 2009 and we still email every day and travel back and forth to hang out together! In fact I just got home a few days ago from going to visit her!

Before I made that first trip to meet her all my friends teased me and told me when I got there "she" would probably turn out to be a very scary "he". LOL She didn't of course, but I have to say they had me worried there for a second! ;)
