Hi! We just got back from spending 3 weeks in Israel. Since this was our 4th time there, we did a lot of non-touristy things too.
We stayed with relatives in Tel Aviv. Then we rented a studio in Jerusalem (much cheaper than a hotel!!), and then we stayed on a kibbutz, in their guest house, for a week in a half. That was an hour south of Tel Aviv.
We really had a good time. We of course visited the Western Wall. We also went to Ein Gedi, which is along the Dead Sea. There are waterfalls there and some cool animals.
We swam a lot at the pool at the kibbutz. That was fun because there weren't as many goofy rules....like the public pool here at home, lol.
Here are some pictures:
They are, 1.) Western Wall, 2.) Market in Jerusalem, 3.) Highway sign, 4.) Ein Gedi (that's me), and 5.) Ein Gedi. Dead Sea in backround.
