Our after school days are getting hectic. Back pack lying around, old school papers filling up the kitchen table, etc. I need help to get our afternoons more organized so we can get down to homework. Help!
Oh i hear you. We have a bench in the hallway and that is the only place they are allowed to drop off backpacks. The mintue they hit the door they have to take papers out and show me and if it's something old then it goes in the garbage. If it is something new or needs to be done then it is straight to the kitchen table where they stay until everything is finished. Then back in the backpack in the hall until tomorrow when they leave. No one can ever say they can't find a book or forgot to do their homework.

I love the idea of a launchpad area for the children, then everyone knows where school items should be :-) How old are you children? Is this something you have done with them since they started school?
