I was shocked to see that plastic containers with lids DO NOT work in Katie's room (6 year old). I love those things!!!! Anyway, the best advice I got was to note what is working and I was surprised to see that Kate tends to always put things away that are in big pink hat boxes stacked in her room. Thanks for the advice!

That's interesting Jen, do you think it is the pink that attracts her or the shape of the boxes?

Sheila~ I wondered why also. She does adore the color pink but I am wondering if it the ease of using them? The rubbermaid containers have various locking hinges etc that may be either too hard for her or too much hassle.
