hi my hub is BP...we live on east/south TX side and relocated from RI in Dec 07 check out bpspouses forum...

bpspouses.com

if u havent traveled alot in ur life then your in for a shock. heads up El Paso is an area where you do not mention ur hub is BP. el paso is close to Juarez and the cartel drug gangs. i just read an article yesterday about the murders in juarez. thank god we got one of the most northern TX cities possible. anything south of the checkpoints(drug and smuggling checkpoints along highways) is not "the life" for someone who is use to new englands way of life.

the BP has provided my family with safety, job security, health insurance. we just purchased our 1st home in Dec and just got a decent boat yesterday. we made a choice that was right for our family. i think if we would have gotten more south it would have not worked out so great and i would not feel as safe.

PS i dont live in san antonio but in corpus christi.

pS i read the other posts after i posted mine....are u sure we arent living the same life just ur a few yrs behind me?! ha, ha, ha! my hubby was in the marines in NC...when we met and i graduated HS in morehead city. so i know yours was either at CP or Lejune.  we had a kid young. moved to RI cuz he was from there. he went to college, finished and couldnt get a law enforcment job. we another kid while living up there. could never get ahead with the costs of living and BP was our way out and a job he loves! i get to be stay at home mom and everyone wins!

if he puts in for location put south TX. the costs of living is lower than west TX, AZ, NM, or CA. AND you have GREAT beaches!! who doesnt love that! beats new england beaches any day! our climate is less desert and more ranches.
