What is your favorite speciality thread?
Variegated (including overdyed)
Metallic
Linen
Rayon
Silk
Other... because there always IS an "other" (please tell us)
I stick to ... (please tell us) and don't use specialty threads

While I like the look that metallics give, I hate working with the threads. Ditto rayon!

I like the look of variegated threads, ESPECIALLY overdyeds, but they need to be stitched one cross at a time instead of one row at a time to have full effect... and that slows me down a lot. Also, I can't loop start variegateds... so I have to accept messy backs and constantly fussing with thread ends coming loos, another frustration.

I LOVE silk --- the look *and* the feel. I just wish it wasn't so expensive.

I love the effect of the overdyed threads, although you are right that they may slow you down a bit. I am a slow stitcher anyway, so not sure it makes much difference.

I do also like silk threads, and even better -- silk overdyed threads! LOL!
