I'm finally getting into the swing of this retirement thing. Going on a road trip to Amish fabric store with other women from local quilt group. I'm just beginning to get into quilting, but this trip is something I couldn't do a few years ago. I was going to skip this because of volunteer tutor reading the same day. Then I remembered the reason I chose class vs. individual tutoring is that there are several tutors and it would give me more freedom. Had to remind myself that is why it's called "volunteer" work. I met one of the quilters through a local friend and now she's invited me to go on this day trip, plus come along to next club meeting. So looking forward to this - they have regular quilt show and shop-hop trips.
