Very pretty Carol!

I sure wish I had a mantel, but we put in a wood stove to save on heat in the wintertime. It heats the whole front of our house with very little wood. I would love to do some decorating around it. Do you, Pam or anyone else have ideas how I could decorate this for the Christmas holiday? Wonder if there is some fireproof decorations I could hang on the wall behind it with tape? It does get warm there but not to bad.

See attached photos. Some are a little blurry, but you can get a idea on what I have to work with.

TIA!

Hi Doris,

Your wood burning stove is so pretty, gosh I wish I had a fireplace, it would be more for decor here than heat HA HA.
Anything made out of cast iron would work. How about an old metal red coffee pot with some Christmas scented potpourri in it to make the house smell good. Cinnamon or evergreen always make me think of the holidays.
What about hanging some white twinkle lights straight down from the ceiling where the wood & tile meet, 1 strand on either side would be pretty.
Can you take down that heart hanging & bird print and hang something Christmasy in place of them until the holidays are over? 2 matching / complimentary wreaths on either side would be beautiful.
Let me know what you think..........

Thanks girls you gave me some excellent ideas!

You two are so smart! Love your ideas of the lights running down by the wood and wreaths Pam.

I was thinking of a nice red tea kettle. I even have a old one that Hubby left on the stove and burnt the bottom, LOL......use it for watering my porch plants now. Putting fake holly and red berry sprigs in it on the top of the wood stove would be great. Maybe even some silk gold or pink poinsettias?

Not sure if Hubby will want to stoke up a fire in it for the Holiday Carol. Guess I better check with him BEFORE I decorate huh. LOL!

Thanks again for that great site and wonderful ideas!
