You have a great question and I'm not sure I'm the right one to answer, being a jeans and tee shirt person myself, I'm a long way from sophisticated!

But you might check into this article on developing a business casual dress code:

They suggest that clothing should be pressed and never wrinkled, that all seams be finished, and that words, logos, etc be avoided. Then add a nice belt, a pretty piece of jewelry, some pretty shoes, and you've dressed up the most casual of outfits...

Otherwise, try adding a touch of glitz to your plain outfit: a silk top or a classy fitted jacket can do wonders!

Do you mean hanging around the house as in hi honey I have not seen you in 5 days, having company over, a cook out with friends & family or just laying on the couch with SO and watching movies on a sunday??? Theres an outfit for all of the above.
I think any that I posted would be good for anything except laying on the couch with SO & watching movies HA HA.
All in all I think it varies alot, depends on the weather too.
Lets see if I can find ya some cute lounge on the couch yet still look sophisticated / sexy (-:

But remember theres "almost" nothing quite as sexy as sexy as throwing on one a his shirts & a pair of boy shorts to lounge around!!!

I agree, even a pair of jeans, a nice cami or tank top, belt & flip flops can look dressed up.
We wear tank tops & flip flops almost all year round here in FL, today is was around 80* and we only have 5 days until Halloween!!! Were suppose to be getting another "record high heat wave" in the next few days, do you believe this heat were having?
