In DD's room, and we cant find it.

We have literally cleared out her room, washed all fabric, cleaned the walls and furniture.  We vacuumed her bed and then sprayed it with vinegar.

But, so far nothing has gotten rid of the smell.  We are afraid something might have literally died in her vents or in the walls.

Of course, this happens the NIGHT before we had a huge Birthday Party for DS.

UGH.  Wish me luck, we are going to try to locate the primary area for the smell and see if we can figure out what it is.

Oh no! I feel for you. We had a dead mouse in our car one time. No fun.

Keep us updated.

Oh, Anna,I am so sorry. That is no fun at all, and to have it happen when people will be coming over is even worse. I hope you can find the source and get it taken care of soon. *hugs*

let us know what you find.

We cleaned out the vents yesterday and only found random stuff, like Monopoly game pieces and a hairbow (they are floor vents).

Her room is immaculate and 1 step away from being Hospital Grade Sterile.

So, whatever that smell is/was must be in the wall.  We are thinking maybe an animal got in under the house and died.  This is the only logical answer, especially since we had our Pest Control guy spray under the house about 2 weeks ago.  He fogged down there a lot.

The good news is, the smell seems to be subsiding.
