Will you host any holiday dinners?
Yes, the whole family comes to my house. (Which holiday? How many people?)
Yes, but only for a few people. (Which holiday? Who?)
It'll be just our nuclear family at home; no guests.
No, we'll travel but I'll cook something to take with us.
No, we'll travel and I won't do any cooking.
I won't host, but I'll cook at someone else's house. (Whose house?)
No, we'll go out to eat. (Where at?)
No, we'll buy a precooked dinner. (From where?)

Oh beloved Jodi.

I had to tick other, for I am the person who put the anti in front of social.

Goodness me, hosting holiday dinners, my dear Jodi that means inviting people and who wants to do such thing.

Why, the last time I hosted a dinner, the Lady said yes and now for the past 20 years she has been my beloved wife. Add on top of this 3 children and hosting that dinner has proved rather expensive ;-))

Oh okay, if you ever come to my neck of the woods in dear old England I'll treat you to a meal...not sure if I'll cook it though, I can't say fairer than that...mmm you're not thinking of any trips soon are you? As I normally need a few years to prepare myself for such an evening.

Your humble friend.

Oz.

I might be paranoid, but it doesn't mean people aren't watching me!

Someday maybe, but not anytime soon.  And no need to cook my dear Oz... we'll just hit a nearby pub for a pasty.  ;-)

Oh beloved Jodi.

Blimey dear Lady, you've not only heard of our pubs but heard of our pasties too...or you could have fish and chips?

Well if I'm going all that way, I'll certainly stay long enough for more than one meal... we'll do both!  :-D

Pasties are a fond memory of childhood.  They're about the only tie my family has maintained from our Cornish roots.  Grandma used to bring them whenever we got together for holidays.  She always bought them though, since her own mother's recipe was known for being so dry.  LOL
